The London leg of the 2009 Vacation. We arrived in London and stayed for 2 1/2 days before going to Paris. We decided it would be easier to be in a country where we could speak and read the language while getting used to the time change, and getting over jet-lag. The London Underground (subway) is THE BEST form of mass transit transportation! If you've ever been to London and taken the Underground, you've undoubtedly heard "mind the gap" a time or two. It didn't take long to understand why this phrase is announced as the train is coming to a stop. It refers to the gap (sometimes wide, sometimes high, sometimes low, sometimes not at all) between the train and the platform. I'm sure Londoners no longer hear the announcement, but to us it became a wonderful little amusement. Not finding an "Underground" embellishment, I resorted to searching one out on the internet and using it to complete my page. Thank goodness it was a png!

This is a photo I took at the Butchart Gardens near Victoria, B.C. This was taken before I went to Europe, and this is what I thought I would see IF and when I ever went.

I decided to commemorate my 2009 European vacation (and keep warm) with designing my own cotton weave blanket. Here's what I sent in to have it made. Everytime I use this blanket, I find myself daydreaming of going to Paris again.

This layout is my all-time fav of my Paris pages.  I again thought that I was the cleaver one to take one photo and break it up into 3.  I also made my own background paper using an embellishment and reducing the opacity.  Mind you, I had no contact with anyone else that digitally scrapped, so I was totally on my own.  All these layouts you've seen so far, I've made myself; no templates, sketches or scrap lifts.

This is one of a set of four paintings by the same artist.  Each painting represents one of the four seasons, and each is comprised of flowers, fruits, and vegetables.  A true visionary!
