Scraps Along My Way

The London leg of the 2009 Vacation. We arrived in London and stayed for 2 1/2 days before going to Paris. We decided it would be easier to be in a country where we could speak and read the language while getting used to the time change, and getting over jet-lag. The London Underground (subway) is THE BEST form of mass transit transportation! If you've ever been to London and taken the Underground, you've undoubtedly heard "mind the gap" a time or two. It didn't take long to understand why this phrase is announced as the train is coming to a stop. It refers to the gap (sometimes wide, sometimes high, sometimes low, sometimes not at all) between the train and the platform. I'm sure Londoners no longer hear the announcement, but to us it became a wonderful little amusement. Not finding an "Underground" embellishment, I resorted to searching one out on the internet and using it to complete my page. Thank goodness it was a png!
